Old-timey family sing-alongs

God sent his Singers upon earth
With songs of sadness and of mirth,
That they might touch the hearts of men,
And bring them back to heaven again.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I come from a musical family (on both sides) and, though I cannot sing worth a spit myself, I truly love it when an old-timey sing-along breaks out. One of the last times it happened, I thought to pull out my phone and record a bit. This is the result:

Memory: preserved. Technology has upsides, my friends.

And I’ve got one more for you. My sister filmed this at my Grandpa’s 80th birthday party. It’s one of our theme songs. That’s right… not only does my family have a theme song, we have more than one. We’re that awesome.

Now if someone can just get a recording of “There’s A Blue Sky Away Out Yonder”, we’ll be set.
